Dr Anna Szolucha - Challenge 5
Dr Anna Szolucha is a social scientist who works with communities, academics and policy makers to help them understand how energy projects influence landscapes, people’s lives and democracy. Within the UKUH programme, she is responsible for conducting ethnographic and qualitative research into the social aspects of conventional and unconventional gas development projects across five different sites. Prior to joining the UKUH programme, she conducted in-depth research on the ground of two of the most complex and contentious European shale gas exploration projects in recent years: in Lancashire, UK and Żurawlów, Poland to document and analyse some of the harder-to-monitor social, environmental and health impacts of those projects.
