UKUH Researcher Biographies
Professor Andrew Aplin - Challenge 3
I studied Environmental Science at UEA and then for a PhD in Marine Geochemistry at Imperial College. After two years as a Society European Research Fellow at CRPG Nancy, I worked in BP Research for six years as an inorganic geochemist, before joining Newcastle University. I moved to Durham in 2013 and am currently Head of Department. Much of my work has been focussed on industrially and societally important questions and has involved collaboration with a diverse range of earth and other physical scientists - as in the UKUH project.
