Dr Mel Rohse

Mel is a Research Fellow at the Global Sustainability Institute, Anglia Ruskin University. Her work focuses on people's everyday experiences and perceptions of environmental change, specifically in the energy and water sectors. She has been working with personal and collective stories to explore how individuals and communities live through environmental change. This has included co-creating research with local communities on their past, present and future relationship with energy. Recently, she has also been researching user perceptions and engagement with energy technologies in the context of the energy transition. A trained social scientist, she has been increasingly using mixed methods and working collaboratively with other disciplines (e.g. hydrology; geoscience; creative arts) to understand the  dynamics between environmental challenges and people's lives.
