Dr James Verdon

Dr Verdon holds a masters degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Cambridge (2006), and a Ph.D. from the University of Bristol (2010). His Ph.D. thesis, in which he used microseismic data combined with geomechanical modelling to monitor CO2 storage in mature oil reservoirs, was awarded the Keith Runcorn Prize for Best Doctoral Thesis in Geophysics by the Royal Astronomical Society. From 2011 - 2014 he held a NERC Early Career Research Fellowship at the University of Bristol, and in 2017 he was appointed to a Lectureship in Applied Geophysics at the University of Bristol.
